Black doesn’t have to be boring
We have decorated the autumn dining room with classic furniture by Josef Frank: Chair 2025 in black lacquered birch and bamboo, as well as Dining Table 884 with a tabletop in lacquered linoleum and walnut. The furniture is accompanied by a table setting in a muted colour scheme, with placemats in the Teheran pattern, Fornasetti saucers, and blue-green hand-blown water glasses beautifully shaped like a tulip.

Josef Frank probably created the Bamboo Table Lamp for Svenskt Tenn in the 1940s or 1950s – a period when he designed several objects with Asian influences, including the tall Bamboo candle holder in 1952.
