During his time in New York from 1943 to 1945, Josef Frank designed two map patterns. One of them was named Dixieland, but it has since been renamed New Orleans.

In the pattern's three main sections, the Atlantic Ocean and the surrounding continents are depicted. Josef Frank portrays Africa filled with gigantic sunflowers, while the oceans surge with white-crested waves against the shores.
