Centenary Celebration at Strandvägen 5

Centenary Celebration
at the store on Strandvägen 5

On 25 October 2024, Svenskt Tenn marked its 100th anniversary. A century had passed since Estrid Ericson brought her vision to life by opening the first store and pewter workshop on Smålandsgatan in Stockholm.

To celebrate this momentous occasion, the store at Strandvägen 5 featured stunning façade installations, with Josef Frank’s iconic patterns – Hawai, Tulip, and Vegetable Tree – brought to life outside the entrances and display windows. To further honour the day, customers visiting the store were treated to bespoke biscuits, specially crafted for Svenskt Tenn by the bakery Krümel.

To mark this special occasion, free admission was offered to the ongoing exhibition Svenskt Tenn: A Philosophy of Homeat Liljevalchs in Stockholm on Friday, 25th October.

Jubilee poster as a gift

In conjunction with the centenary weekend, exclusive jubilee posters featuring ten unique designs were created for visitors at the store on Strandvägen 5. Each poster was presented in an elegant green tube adorned with Svenskt Tenn’s centenary logo.

Krümel biscuits

The Krümel bakery crafted exclusive celebratory biscuits in two flavours for Svenskt Tenn. The first, Dark Chocolate Earl Grey, is inspired by Estrid Ericson’s love of tea, while the second, Triple Chocolate, offered a rich chocolate indulgence. Both were elegantly adorned with edible flowers, paying homage to Josef Frank’s iconic world of prints.
