Svenskt Tenn is an interior design company with a store, Interior Design Studio and Café on Strandvägen 5 in Stockholm as well as an online store. A magical world of interiors and a place where innovation and outstanding design is manifested in a warm and inviting atmosphere. A space where the setting is as important as the products themselves.
The company was established in 1924 by the visionary entrepreneur Estrid Ericson, who recruited Austrian architect and designer Josef Frank a decade later. It was here that Josef Frank was given a unique space to create and throughout the years, he produced over 3,000 drawings and sketches as well as 250 prints that are signed and preserved in Svenskt Tenn’s archive.
Svenskt Tenn is Purveyor to His Majesty since 1928. A significant part of the company’s range is made in Sweden with quality craftsmanship that ensures the products last for generations. More than eighty per cent of Svenskt Tenn’s range consists of original designs, accompanied by furniture and accessories created by some of the most skilled designers and artisans of our time.
The aesthetic heritage makes the company unique, as does the ownership structure. Svenskt Tenn is owned by the Kjell and Märta Beijer Beijer Foundation, with the goal that the company should live forever. The surplus generated by the company is donated to world-leading scientific research while also contributing to initiatives in the realms of education, teaching, and cultural development. Sustainability, quality and commitment have been the company’s core values since its inception in 1924.
