Festive feel in the living room
Decorating the tree and the room
Comfort and tradition take centre stage when it’s time to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere in the living room for the upcoming festive season. Drawing inspiration from both classic and contemporary craftsmanship, the tree is adorned with real candles and the latest additions from this year’s Christmas range. Hand-painted glass baubles and shimmering brass ornaments are among this year's highlights, along with a delicate flying angel, inspired by the enchanting world of Dala painting.
Every corner of the living room is an invitation to a holiday season filled with warmth and charm. Textiles featuring classic patterns, velvet and linen cushions, as well as wooden candlesticks and festive decorations, evoke a sense of timeless elegance. For those who seek to decorate their living space in a traditional yet enduring style, the current range offers everything from hand-turned wooden candlesticks to luxurious textiles and ornaments. Each detail is a tribute to authentic craftsmanship and the rich heritage of Svenskt Tenn.
Josef Frank’s Chianti print is being reintroduced for the 2024 holiday season, available on textile as well as cushions and interior accessories.
Estrid Ericson“That is the charm of our Swedish Christmas, that it is so rich in traditions – spiritual and material.”
The hand-turned, wooden candlestick was designed by Josef Frank for Svenskt Tenn in 1952, and featured in the Christmas exhibition that same year.

Karin Ferner“A star and heart have hanging leaves. The inspiration here comes from old folkloric costume jewellery that was often full of clinking leaves. A star has a red tassel, and the little flying angel is loosely inspired by the wonderful world of Dala painting.”
Among the new additions for the Christmas living room is the Jubel brass collection by Karin Ferner, featuring stars, hearts, and angels. To create the tree topper, an old folk technique was used, where the metal is cut into thin strips and then twisted to achieve a shimmering effect and depth.
